With the first really frosty morning this winter (well in Somerset it was anyway!), I opted to go out for a local shot, just a few miles from home. ![]()
Using the drone I figured I could capture a decent image of Brent Knoll a little after sunrise. For those perhaps unfamiliar with this landmark, its the one you see when traveling along the M5 through Somerset, standing all on its own surrounded by largely flat grounds. The background hills in this image are the Mendip Hills, in particular Crooks Peak. After having to wait for the sun to break free of some clouds I was rewarded with some very pleasant morning light, so another shot that's been on the "bucket list" for a while ticked off. ![]()

Our busiest time of year is now fast approaching. Next weekend at the Rural Living Show, Kings Prep School, Taunton rurallivingshow.co.uk/ where we'll have a display of framed and mounted prints plus some gift ideas available. The show is open between 10am and 5pm on Saturday (23rd Nov) and 10am and 4pm Sunday (24th Nov). ![]()
Following this we start our annual visit to the Orchard Shopping Centre, Fore Street, Taunton www.orchardtaunton.co.uk/ on Saturday 30th November, daily until Christmas Eve, open between 9am and 5pm (10.30am and 4pm Sundays) with our large gallery style exhibition of framed prints and mounted prints and gift items available. ![]()

I've been working on sorting images and processing a few old ones that hadn't been processed before at home today, quite a satisfying day really. ![]()

Among the newly processed images was this one, and I really don't know why I had not processed this little gem before. A golden sunrise at Meare on the Somerset Levels. Personally, I love the light streaking in from behind the tree, not everyone will do perhaps, but I'll place artists personal taste in the forefront this time. Hope you like as much as I do. ![]()
