"The Wenford goods"
I often saw this little Beattie "Well Tank" loco in the museum at Buckfastleigh, South Devon Railway over a great number of years, and never thought I'd see it in steam. But in a pleasant surprise move, agreement was reached for the National Railway Museum owned loco to move to the Bodmin Railway in Cornwall for restoration to working order, with a generous benefactor funding much of this work. In the past it had spent most of its long working life with two other class members based at nearby Wadebridge for working goods trains along the rural railway byway of the Wenford branch. Its restoration to BR livery enabled some very authentic recreations to be enjoyed over a number of years. After a spell away the engine has now returned to the Bodmin Railway for display and eventual restoration to working order once more.
Here is a selection of images I've captured over the years on photo charters I've organised on the Bodmin line to recreate the feel of the nearby Wenford branch. I hope you enjoy looking through them.

I'm planning to post a few "collections" of images in the coming weeks. First up we have Cornwall, with 12 images selected from my files, all of which are available as prints of course in various sizes to grace the walls of your home or work space. I hope you enjoy them.

Scotland is without doubt my favourite place for capturing landscape images.
This one is a real favourite, the Old Man of Stor, Isle of Skye, which was obtained early one morning in 2012 after the climb up from the car park, largely in the dark.
This image is available in three sizes of Panoramic print and the large 100x50cm version looks stunning. See the website for details; www.donbishop.co.uk
