We have now started once again in the Orchard Shopping Centre in Taunton. This is our 10th year here in the Centre, and our 17th in Taunton for Christmas. We're located outside Hines jewellers, HMV and TUI. ![]()
We're here each day now through until Christmas Eve, open between 9am and 5pm (10.30am to 4pm on Sundays). ![]()

Well the shows for 2024 are all but done, we just have our largest annual exhibition event to come. Starting on Saturday (30th Nov), through until Christmas Eve, we'll be in our usual location (for the past 10yrs) in the middle of the Orchard Shopping Centre, formally known as the "Old Pig Market" in Fore Street, Taunton. We'll have a gallery style display of large framed images and lots of smaller prints in baskets etc. and some nice Christmas gift ideas. We are open between 9am and 5pm daily (except 10.30am to 4.0pm Sundays). So if you're in the area pop by and say hello/merry Christmas etc. and see if we have an image that freshen up one of your rooms. ![]()
The attached image features the very pleasant Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Ashey Common with 02 No. 24 "Calborne" passing by on the misty morning of 16th November 2010 as part of my two day "Steam Recreations" charter event on the line. ![]()

With the first really frosty morning this winter (well in Somerset it was anyway!), I opted to go out for a local shot, just a few miles from home. ![]()
Using the drone I figured I could capture a decent image of Brent Knoll a little after sunrise. For those perhaps unfamiliar with this landmark, its the one you see when traveling along the M5 through Somerset, standing all on its own surrounded by largely flat grounds. The background hills in this image are the Mendip Hills, in particular Crooks Peak. After having to wait for the sun to break free of some clouds I was rewarded with some very pleasant morning light, so another shot that's been on the "bucket list" for a while ticked off. ![]()
